This beloved tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has been entertaining audiences for generations.

Through an incredible, first-ever partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers, you have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience The Wizard of Oz under the stars at Heinz Field! Heinz Field is welcoming guests to the stadium and ensuring the safety and comfort of all attendees.
 

THE WIZARD OF OZ Rain Policy

As of now, all performances of THE WIZARD OF OZ are ON, rain or shine! However, if weather conditions exceed Heinz stadium tolerances for wind and lightning, it may be necessary to delay the start time, or cancel the performance depending on the forecast. Sunday, July 11 is being held for rain day performances.

  • If a show is cancelled due to weather and not performed, an automatic refund will be issued from Ticketmaster.

  • If the show is cancelled due to weather and rescheduled for Sunday, your tickets will be automatically rebooked to that alternate date. If you cannot make the new date, you can request a refund through your Ticketmaster Account.

  • If a show is cancelled and you want to attend another date, you can request your refund through Ticketmaster and then purchase tickets to your preferred new date.

  • As a reminder, we are live streaming the performances! You will receive an individualized link to view the livestream the day of your scheduled performance so you can join us in Oz from the comfort of home. Additionally, at the stadium there will be monitors inside the covered concourses broadcasting the performance LIVE.

JESSICA GROVÉ (Dorothy Gale) is thrilled to reprise the role of Dorothy, which she originated at the age of 15 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, as well as on the National Tour, alongside Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kitt. She received a Jefferson Award nomination for her portrayal and can be heard on the 1998 Grammy nominated cast recording. Broadway: A Little Night Music, Sunday in the Park with George, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Miss Dorothy), and Les Misérables (Eponine). Jessica played Polly on the National tour of The Boy Friend (directed by Julie Andrews), recreating the same role Ms. Andrews created in the 1954 Broadway production. At Pittsburgh CLO: Oklahoma! Dan DeLuca

DAN DeLUCA (Hunk/Scarecrow) is a Pittsburgh native, best known for originating the role of Jack Kelly on the First National Tour of Disney’s Newsies. He has developed new musicals alongside the greatest theater composers of our time including Stephen Schwartz, Alan Menken, and Martin Charnin. Evan Ruggiero

EVAN RUGGIERO (Hickory/Tinman) began dancing at the age of five and by age ten, he was accepted into the famed New Jersey Tap Ensemble. Upon entering his sophomore year at Montclair State, Evan was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer of the right leg. He was faced with the ultimate decision of amputation in order to stop the cancer and save his life. Eighteen months after the amputation, and only two days after receiving his “peg-leg,” Evan was tap dancing again. In 2018 he received a Drama Desk Nomination for Best Actor in a Musical, a Chita Rivera Award Nomination for Best Dancer in a Musical and was awarded a Clive Barnes Award in Theatre for his portrayal of Tom Jones in NYC’s Off-Broadway hit Bastard Jones. He has performed for many notable individuals including President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and most recently performed alongside two-time Grammy winning artist, Jason Mraz. @Lord_Pegleg 

Drew Leigh Williams

DREW LEIGH WILLIAMS she/her/hers (Zeke/Lion) is excited to be back with the Pittsburgh CLO after presenting her cabaret Spring is Here at the Duquesne Club as the CLO’s first live performance since the shutdown. She’s recently been seen in Quantum Theatre’s world premiere of The Current War and North of Forbes for the Pittsburgh Public Theatre’s Playtime series. Favorite CLO productions include roles in Pump Boys and DinettesXanaduA Musical Christmas Carol, and the world premiere of The Double-Threat Trio. Drew Leigh has also appeared on Da Burgh stages of City Theatre, Front Porch Theatricals, and Off the Wall. MELESSIE CLARK (Aunt Em/Glinda, the Witch of the North), a Pittsburgh native and Point Park University alumnus, was recently seen in Quantum Theatre’s The Current War and the New Hazlett Theater’s CSA production, Sunsum is Spirit. Other Pittsburgh CLO credits include Grease, Rock of Ages, The Wedding Singer and Gypsy. Melessie has also been seen in Little Shop of Horrors and School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play (Pittsburgh Public Theater), A Sign of the Times (Goodspeed Opera House and Delaware Theatre Company) and Dreamgirls (Alhambra Theatre. TV and commercial credits include “Farm Queens” on Great American Country, T-Mobile, and Pennsylvania Lottery. Lisa Ann Goldsmith

LISA ANN GOLDSMITH (Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch of the West) is absolutely thrilled to be returning to Pittsburgh CLO in this iconic role! She has performed with Pittsburgh CLO as Mrs. Cratchit in A Musical Christmas Carol and Gretchen in Boeing Boeing. Favorite credits include Kate Rearden in the World Premiere of Windfall directed by Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander (Arkansas Rep); Kate in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Laurel in Torch Song Trilogy, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Mame in Mame (Human Race Theatre Company); Veronica in God of Carnage (Theatre by the Sea); Audrey in As You Like It and The Courtesan in The Comedy of Errors (Pittsburgh Public Theater). Lisa Ann is the co-host of the podcast The Bardcast: It’s Shakespeare, You Dick!, with listeners in six out of seven continents! She has taught at many universities, such as Point Park Conservatory, Carnegie Mellon University, Slippery Rock University, and Fordham University.

Jeffrey Howell

JEFFREY HOWELL (Professor Chester Marvel/The Wizard of Oz) is thrilled to return to live theater playing the Wizard at Heinz Field. In a full-circle moment, his first musical was portraying the Scarecrow in a production of The Wizard of Oz while in college. He is also a proud owner of the book published in the year he was born! LaTrea Rembert

LaTREA REMBERT (Uncle Henry/Palace Guard) is a multi-disciplinary performance artist based in Pittsburgh. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, LaTrea relocated to Pittsburgh in 2010 to study Theater Arts at Point Park University, obtaining his BA in 2014. LaTrea has been a dancer with the STAYCEE PEARL dance project (SPdp) since 2014 where he serves as Rehearsal Director, and has taught at different institutions throughout the city including Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, and Point Park University. Theater credits include Spamilton (CLO Cabaret), The Scottsboro Boys, Wig Out!, Choir Boy (The REP), Dreamgirls, Young Frankenstein, Disney’s The Little Mermaid (PMT) and was recently a featured Spotlight Artist for City Theater. TAMRIN GOLDBERG (Dance Captain/Winkie/Ensemble), originally from Seattle, is a Brooklyn-based performer and choreographer. Highlights include: Ashley Fure’s Filament with the NY Philharmonic, The First National Tour of SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical, and productions with Broadway Sacramento, Goodspeed Opera House, The Alliance Theatre, and Opera Carolina. She is a recipient of the New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Choreography, and holds a B.A. in Dance and Philosophy from Barnard College.

NESSA (Toto) is a funny, energetic little girl who was rescued by Bill Berloni through Cairn Rescue, USA. GERRY McINTYRE (Choreographer) has widespread acclaim for his most recent choreographic credit: the Berkshire Theatre Group's production of Godspell. He was recently made Associate Artistic Director of the York Theatre. He made his directing debut at The York with the 2018 Musicals in Mufti presentation of Hallelujah BabyKinky Boots at The Hangar Theatre. Once on This Island at Martin Beck Theatre, Virginia Stage, Pioneer Theatre, Actors’ Theatre Of Louisville, La Mirada Theatre (Robby Award for Best Director, Ovation nomination for Best Choreography and Best Musical). JAMES CUNNINGHAM (Music Director) has served as music director for the Pittsburgh CLO summer season since 2017. New York credits include Avenue Q (conductor), music director for Bunnicula (TheaterworksUSA and original cast recording), Hot Mess In Manhattan (Araca Project), and Happy Birthday (TACT) for which he also provided original music. National Tours credits as pianist and/or conductor include: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, Monty Python's SpamalotEvita and Cats. Other regional credits include productions for Arena Stage, Casa Mañana, North Carolina Theatre, Sharon Playhouse, Shakespeare Theatre Company, The Engeman Theater, Paper Mill Playhouse, and The Muny. He holds degrees from Manhattan School of Music and New York University.

ANDREW GIFFIN (Lighting Designer/Production Design) returns to CLO exactly twenty years after his career began as a summer intern in 2001, the same year receiving a Gene Kelly Award for Best Lighting Design for The Wiz at Chartiers Valley. He has since graduated from Penn State (which has honored him with an Alumni Achievement Award) and has served as Phish’s programmer and associate designer since 2009. He has designed the annual Rock Steelers Style fashion show since 2015, a decade of WPSU’s Music Theatre Spotlight, dozens of shows for Princess and Regent cruises, and stage lighting for the James Brown biopic Get on Up. Proud to present Pittsburgh theatre to a stadium audience, his work spans the Golden State Warriors, the New York Knicks and Rangers, Ariana Grande’s Honeymoon world tour, and Justin Bieber’s Believe world tour. He has also programmed concerts for Eric Church, Neil Young, and Pearl Jam, stages at Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, and South by Southwest, the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the Billboard Latin Music Awards, and James Turrell’s Árbol de Luz in the Yucatán.

HALEY DEE TYNES (Costume Designer) coordinated the costumes for Pittsburgh CLO's  Thoroughly Modern Millie and Oklahoma! Currently, she works in New York as a wardrobe supervisor. Recent credits are: Fabulation, or The Re-Education of Undine, Daddy and Curse of The Starving Class. She received her MFA in Costume Design and Technology at The University of Virginia.

JOE SPINOGATTI (Video Designer) is thrilled to help CLO celebrate their 75th Season with The Wizard of Oz and a Summer under the Stars. Previous work for the Pittsburgh CLO includes Once and Game On. NICOLE PAGANO (Wig/Hair Designer) This is Nicole’s 3rd production with Pittsburgh CLO. Additional CLO credits include Rock of Ages and A Musical Christmas Carol. Nicole has been Assistant to the Wig Master and Makeup Designer for The Pittsburgh Opera for over 15 years.  Additionally, Nicole has worked as Wig and Makeup Supervisor for several seasons at The McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey.  Nicole has been the Assistant to the Wig Master and Makeup Designer for both Cincinnati Opera and Cincinnati Ballet. Nicole attended The Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she received her BFA in Theatrical Design and Production. She also attended South Hills Beauty Academy where she acquired her license in Esthetics.

TRAVIS KLINGLER (Makeup Designer/Hair and Makeup Supervisor) is excited to finally be returning to Pittsburgh CLO.  Some favorite CLO productions include Titanic, Grease, Peter Pan, Once, and A Musical Christmas Carol.  Travis’ theater credits include makeup designer for Minnesota Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, hair and makeup designer for Front Porch Theatricals and Pittsburgh Public Theater where he was hair and makeup designer for their production of Indecent.  His work has been published in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Glamour Magazine and seen on the MTV Video Music Awards, HGTV and Netflix. MARTY SAVOLSKIS (Prop Coordinator/Designer)  is excited to be back with Pittsburgh CLO!!! He has been coordinating props with CLO since 2002. WILLIAM BERLONI (Animal Director and Trainer) 2011 Tony Honoree for Excellence in Theatre, 2017 Drama League’s Unique Contribution to the Theatre and 2014 Outer Critics Circle award for Special Achievement. 26 Broadway shows including The Ferryman, The Crucible, The Audience with Dame Helen Mirren, Bullets Over Broadway, Annie (original and all revivals), A Christmas Story The Musical and Legally Blonde. Mr. Berloni has trained animals for hundreds of Off-Broadway, regional theatre, tours, television and movies. Recent movies include The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman and Ben Is Back starring Julia Robert and Lucas Hedges. He provided the first live dog to play “Nana” in Peter Pan Live as well as “Toto” in The Wiz Live, both on NBC. JOSHUA TKACZUK (Assistant Lighting Designer/Associate Production Designer) is delighted to be making his debut with Pittsburgh CLO. A graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, he has spent many years designing and managing production for concert venues and large-scale outdoor events. He has worked as a Site Designer for music festivals such as Moonrise Festival in Baltimore, MD and Lost Lands Festival in Thornville, OH. In his most recent local endeavors, he served as the Production Designer & Theatrical Consultant for the newly renovated Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks, PA, and formerly was the resident Production Consultant & Lighting Designer for Grey Area Productions and the Rex Theater.

HEATHER ANKLEY (Production Stage Manager) has been part of the theater arts in Pittsburgh for over 20 years. She’s had the opportunity to work in a variety of entertainment mediums: Musical Theater, Opera, Dance, Comedy and Rock 'n' Roll. Credits include: Pittsburgh CLO’s SPARK Festival, A Musical Christmas Carol, Game On, Titanic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Brigadoon, Disney’s Newsies, Mamma Mia!, Scottsboro Boys, Wig Out!, Merchant of Venice, The Double-Threat Trio (World Premiere).

TIM BRADY (Assistant Stage Manager) has stage managed 15 seasons at the CLO Cabaret. As an actor, he has appeared in 11 productions of A Musical Christmas Carol and various Summer Season and CLO Cabaret productions with Pittsburgh CLO – most recently Xanadu. KELLY HAYWOOD (Assistant Stage Manager) is ecstatic to be at Heinz Field with PCLO! L. FRANK BAUM (Author) (May 15, 1856 – May 6, 1919) was an American author of children's books, best known for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, published in 1900. One of the most successful novels in American literature, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz sold out instantly, became a cutlrual sensation, and sold over three million copies before entering the public domain in 1956. Baum wrote thirteen novel sequels, nine other fantasy novels, and a host of other works, including 83 short stories, over 200 poems, and 55 novels. He made numerous attempts to bring his works to the stage and screen. Baum's writings remarkably anticipated innovations including television, augmented reality, laptop computers (The Master Key), wireless telephones (Tik-Tok of Oz), women in high-risk, action-heavy occupations (Mary Louise in the Country), and the ubiquity of advertising on clothing (Aunt Jane's Nieces at Work).

HAROLD ARLEN (Music and Lyrics) (1905-1986) wrote some of the greatest hits from the 30's and 40's, including the entire score to the classic movie The Wizard of Oz. Songs such as “Over the Rainbow,” “Get Happy” and “Stormy Weather,” are just some of the standards that live on today and have distinguished Harold Arlen as one of the Great American Composers of the 20th Century. During his career he wrote over 500 songs, including “Let’s Fall in Love,” “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea” and "I Love a Parade” (all with lyrics by Ted Koehler). His Broadway musicals include Bloomer Girl, St. Louis Woman and House of Flowers. Films include The Singing Kid (1936), Star Spangled Rhythm (1942) and The Petty Girl (1950). With Ira Gershwin he wrote the songs for 1954’s A Star is Born, starring Judy Garland. Arlen won an Academy Award for the song "Over the Rainbow," voted the 20th century's No. 1 song by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

E. Y. HARBURG (Music and Lyrics) One of America’s greatest lyricists for stage and screen, Yip Harburg (1896-1981) was the son of poor Russian-Jewish immigrants and attended CCNY. Also a book writer (usually with Fred Saidy), director, and poet, Harburg wrote lyrics for more than 550 songs, including “It’s Only A Paper Moon” (with Harold Arlen), “April in Paris” (with Vernon Duke) and “Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?” (with Jay Gorney). His landmark musicals were Bloomer Girl (with Arlen) and Finian’s Rainbow. Yip was the final editor and wrote lyrics and continuity for the universally loved film The Wizard of Oz.

HERBERT STOTHART (Background Music) (1885-1949) was nominated for nine Oscars and won for Best Original Score for his work on the 1939 film of The Wizard of Oz. As a young man, he studied music in Europe and at the University of Wisconsin, where he also taught. He worked as a musical director for Arthur Hammerstein and later began writing music for the producer’s nephew, Oscar Hammerstein II, including some for the operetta Rose Marie. In 1929, he was signed to a contract by Louis B. Mayer; he spent the last 20 years of his life at MGM studios working on films, including Rose Marie, A Night at the Opera, Anna Karenina, David Copperfield, Madame Curie, Idiot’s Delight, Northwest Passage, Mrs. Miniver, Mutiny on the Bounty, National Velvet and What Every Woman Knows.

As of now, all performances of THE WIZARD OF OZ are ON, rain or shine! However, if weather conditions exceed Heinz stadium tolerances for wind and lightning, it may be necessary to delay the start time, or cancel the performance depending on the forecast. Sunday, July 11 is being held for rain day performances.

  • If a show is cancelled due to weather and not performed, an automatic refund will be issued from Ticketmaster.

  • If the show is cancelled due to weather and rescheduled for Sunday, your tickets will be automatically rebooked to that alternate date. If you cannot make the new date, you can request a refund through your Ticketmaster Account.

  • If a show is cancelled and you want to attend another date, you can request your refund through Ticketmaster and then purchase tickets to your preferred new date.

  • As a reminder, we are live streaming the performances! You will receive an individualized link to view the livestream the day of your scheduled performance so you can join us in Oz from the comfort of home. Additionally, at the stadium there will be monitors inside the covered concourses broadcasting the performance LIVE.

JESSICA GROVÉ (Dorothy Gale) is thrilled to reprise the role of Dorothy, which she originated at the age of 15 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, as well as on the National Tour, alongside Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kitt. She received a Jefferson Award nomination for her portrayal and can be heard on the 1998 Grammy nominated cast recording. Broadway: A Little Night Music, Sunday in the Park with George, Thoroughly Modern Millie (Miss Dorothy), and Les Misérables (Eponine). Jessica played Polly on the National tour of The Boy Friend (directed by Julie Andrews), recreating the same role Ms. Andrews created in the 1954 Broadway production. At Pittsburgh CLO: Oklahoma! DAN DeLUCA (Hunk/Scarecrow) is a Pittsburgh native, best known for originating the role of Jack Kelly on the First National Tour of Disney’s Newsies. He has developed new musicals alongside the greatest theater composers of our time including Stephen Schwartz, Alan Menken, and Martin Charnin. Evan Ruggiero

EVAN RUGGIERO (Hickory/Tinman) began dancing at the age of five and by age ten, he was accepted into the famed New Jersey Tap Ensemble. Upon entering his sophomore year at Montclair State, Evan was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer of the right leg. He was faced with the ultimate decision of amputation in order to stop the cancer and save his life. Eighteen months after the amputation, and only two days after receiving his “peg-leg,” Evan was tap dancing again. In 2018 he received a Drama Desk Nomination for Best Actor in a Musical, a Chita Rivera Award Nomination for Best Dancer in a Musical and was awarded a Clive Barnes Award in Theatre for his portrayal of Tom Jones in NYC’s Off-Broadway hit Bastard Jones. He has performed for many notable individuals including President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and most recently performed alongside two-time Grammy winning artist, Jason Mraz. @Lord_Pegleg 

Drew Leigh Williams

DREW LEIGH WILLIAMS she/her/hers (Zeke/Lion) is excited to be back with the Pittsburgh CLO after presenting her cabaret Spring is Here at the Duquesne Club as the CLO’s first live performance since the shutdown. She’s recently been seen in Quantum Theatre’s world premiere of The Current War and North of Forbes for the Pittsburgh Public Theatre’s Playtime series. Favorite CLO productions include roles in Pump Boys and DinettesXanaduA Musical Christmas Carol, and the world premiere of The Double-Threat Trio. Drew Leigh has also appeared on Da Burgh stages of City Theatre, Front Porch Theatricals, and Off the Wall. Melessie has also been seen in Little Shop of Horrors and School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play (Pittsburgh Public Theater), A Sign of the Times (Goodspeed Opera House and Delaware Theatre Company) and Dreamgirls (Alhambra Theatre. LISA ANN GOLDSMITH (Miss Gulch/Wicked Witch of the West) is absolutely thrilled to be returning to Pittsburgh CLO in this iconic role! She has performed with Pittsburgh CLO as Mrs. Cratchit in A Musical Christmas Carol and Gretchen in Boeing Boeing. Favorite credits include Kate Rearden in the World Premiere of Windfall directed by Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander (Arkansas Rep); Kate in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Laurel in Torch Song Trilogy, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth and Mame in Mame (Human Race Theatre Company); Veronica in God of Carnage (Theatre by the Sea); Audrey in As You Like It and The Courtesan in The Comedy of Errors (Pittsburgh Public Theater). Lisa Ann is the co-host of the podcast The Bardcast: It’s Shakespeare, You Dick!, with listeners in six out of seven continents! She has taught at many universities, such as Point Park Conservatory, Carnegie Mellon University, Slippery Rock University, and Fordham University.

JEFFREY HOWELL (Professor Chester Marvel/The Wizard of Oz) is thrilled to return to live theater playing the Wizard at Heinz Field. In a full-circle moment, his first musical was portraying the Scarecrow in a production of The Wizard of Oz while in college. He is also a proud owner of the book published in the year he was born! LaTrea Rembert

LaTREA REMBERT (Uncle Henry/Palace Guard) is a multi-disciplinary performance artist based in Pittsburgh. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, LaTrea relocated to Pittsburgh in 2010 to study Theater Arts at Point Park University, obtaining his BA in 2014. LaTrea has been a dancer with the STAYCEE PEARL dance project (SPdp) since 2014 where he serves as Rehearsal Director, and has taught at different institutions throughout the city including Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, and Point Park University. Theater credits include Spamilton (CLO Cabaret), The Scottsboro Boys, Wig Out!, Choir Boy (The REP), Dreamgirls, Young Frankenstein, Disney’s The Little Mermaid (PMT) and was recently a featured Spotlight Artist for City Theater. JAMES CUNNINGHAM (Music Director) has served as music director for the Pittsburgh CLO summer season since 2017. New York credits include Avenue Q (conductor), music director for Bunnicula (TheaterworksUSA and original cast recording), Hot Mess In Manhattan (Araca Project), and Happy Birthday (TACT) for which he also provided original music. National Tours credits as pianist and/or conductor include: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, Monty Python's SpamalotEvita and Cats. Other regional credits include productions for Arena Stage, Casa Mañana, North Carolina Theatre, Sharon Playhouse, Shakespeare Theatre Company, The Engeman Theater, Paper Mill Playhouse, and The Muny. He holds degrees from Manhattan School of Music and New York University.

ANDREW GIFFIN (Lighting Designer/Production Design) returns to CLO exactly twenty years after his career began as a summer intern in 2001, the same year receiving a Gene Kelly Award for Best Lighting Design for The Wiz at Chartiers Valley. He has since graduated from Penn State (which has honored him with an Alumni Achievement Award) and has served as Phish’s programmer and associate designer since 2009. He has designed the annual Rock Steelers Style fashion show since 2015, a decade of WPSU’s Music Theatre Spotlight, dozens of shows for Princess and Regent cruises, and stage lighting for the James Brown biopic Get on Up. Proud to present Pittsburgh theatre to a stadium audience, his work spans the Golden State Warriors, the New York Knicks and Rangers, Ariana Grande’s Honeymoon world tour, and Justin Bieber’s Believe world tour. He has also programmed concerts for Eric Church, Neil Young, and Pearl Jam, stages at Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, and South by Southwest, the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the Billboard Latin Music Awards, and James Turrell’s Árbol de Luz in the Yucatán.

HALEY DEE TYNES (Costume Designer) coordinated the costumes for Pittsburgh CLO's  Thoroughly Modern Millie and Oklahoma! Currently, she works in New York as a wardrobe supervisor. Recent credits are: Fabulation, or The Re-Education of Undine, Daddy and Curse of The Starving Class. She received her MFA in Costume Design and Technology at The University of Virginia.

JOE SPINOGATTI (Video Designer) is thrilled to help CLO celebrate their 75th Season with The Wizard of Oz and a Summer under the Stars. Previous work for the Pittsburgh CLO includes Once and Game On. NICOLE PAGANO (Wig/Hair Designer) This is Nicole’s 3rd production with Pittsburgh CLO. Additional CLO credits include Rock of Ages and A Musical Christmas Carol. Nicole has been Assistant to the Wig Master and Makeup Designer for The Pittsburgh Opera for over 15 years.  Additionally, Nicole has worked as Wig and Makeup Supervisor for several seasons at The McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey.  Nicole has been the Assistant to the Wig Master and Makeup Designer for both Cincinnati Opera and Cincinnati Ballet. Nicole attended The Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she received her BFA in Theatrical Design and Production. She also attended South Hills Beauty Academy where she acquired her license in Esthetics.

TRAVIS KLINGLER (Makeup Designer/Hair and Makeup Supervisor) is excited to finally be returning to Pittsburgh CLO.  Some favorite CLO productions include Titanic, Grease, Peter Pan, Once, and A Musical Christmas Carol.  Travis’ theater credits include makeup designer for Minnesota Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, hair and makeup designer for Front Porch Theatricals and Pittsburgh Public Theater where he was hair and makeup designer for their production of Indecent.  His work has been published in Cosmopolitan Magazine, Glamour Magazine and seen on the MTV Video Music Awards, HGTV and Netflix. WILLIAM BERLONI (Animal Director and Trainer) 2011 Tony Honoree for Excellence in Theatre, 2017 Drama League’s Unique Contribution to the Theatre and 2014 Outer Critics Circle award for Special Achievement. 26 Broadway shows including The Ferryman, The Crucible, The Audience with Dame Helen Mirren, Bullets Over Broadway, Annie (original and all revivals), A Christmas Story The Musical and Legally Blonde. Mr. Berloni has trained animals for hundreds of Off-Broadway, regional theatre, tours, television and movies. Recent movies include The Greatest Showman starring Hugh Jackman and Ben Is Back starring Julia Robert and Lucas Hedges. He provided the first live dog to play “Nana” in Peter Pan Live as well as “Toto” in The Wiz Live, both on NBC. JOSHUA TKACZUK (Assistant Lighting Designer/Associate Production Designer) is delighted to be making his debut with Pittsburgh CLO. A graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, he has spent many years designing and managing production for concert venues and large-scale outdoor events. He has worked as a Site Designer for music festivals such as Moonrise Festival in Baltimore, MD and Lost Lands Festival in Thornville, OH. In his most recent local endeavors, he served as the Production Designer & Theatrical Consultant for the newly renovated Roxian Theatre in McKees Rocks, PA, and formerly was the resident Production Consultant & Lighting Designer for Grey Area Productions and the Rex Theater.

HEATHER ANKLEY (Production Stage Manager) has been part of the theater arts in Pittsburgh for over 20 years. She’s had the opportunity to work in a variety of entertainment mediums: Musical Theater, Opera, Dance, Comedy and Rock 'n' Roll. Credits include: Pittsburgh CLO’s SPARK Festival, A Musical Christmas Carol, Game On, Titanic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Brigadoon, Disney’s Newsies, Mamma Mia!, Scottsboro Boys, Wig Out!, Merchant of Venice, The Double-Threat Trio (World Premiere).

TIM BRADY (Assistant Stage Manager) has stage managed 15 seasons at the CLO Cabaret. As an actor, he has appeared in 11 productions of A Musical Christmas Carol and various Summer Season and CLO Cabaret productions with Pittsburgh CLO – most recently Xanadu. Other local theaters that Mr. Brady has performed with include The Pittsburgh Pops, Starlight Productions, The New Pittsburgh Jewish Theatre, Stage Right and The Theatre Factory. Mr. Brady was also the managing director of the Conley Inn Dinner Theater in Irwin for 17 years. Tim starred in the Jason Coll television pilot, “Munhall.”

KELLY HAYWOOD (Assistant Stage Manager) is ecstatic to be at Heinz Field with PCLO! Favorite past productions with PCLO include: In the Heights, Peter Pan, Mamma Mia, Million Dollar Quartet, Aida, Damn Yankees, South Pacific, Shrek, Monty Pythons Spamalot and 42nd Street.  PICT Classic Theater: Romeo and Juliet Kelly has also done several productions with the Pittsburgh Opera, Public and Ballet.

L. FRANK BAUM (Author) (May 15, 1856 – May 6, 1919) was an American author of children's books, best known for writing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, published in 1900. One of the most successful novels in American literature, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz sold out instantly, became a cutlrual sensation, and sold over three million copies before entering the public domain in 1956. Baum wrote thirteen novel sequels, nine other fantasy novels, and a host of other works, including 83 short stories, over 200 poems, and 55 novels. He made numerous attempts to bring his works to the stage and screen. Baum's writings remarkably anticipated innovations including television, augmented reality, laptop computers (The Master Key), wireless telephones (Tik-Tok of Oz), women in high-risk, action-heavy occupations (Mary Louise in the Country), and the ubiquity of advertising on clothing (Aunt Jane's Nieces at Work).

HAROLD ARLEN (Music and Lyrics) (1905-1986) wrote some of the greatest hits from the 30's and 40's, including the entire score to the classic movie The Wizard of Oz. Songs such as “Over the Rainbow,” “Get Happy” and “Stormy Weather,” are just some of the standards that live on today and have distinguished Harold Arlen as one of the Great American Composers of the 20th Century. During his career he wrote over 500 songs, including “Let’s Fall in Love,” “Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea” and "I Love a Parade” (all with lyrics by Ted Koehler). His Broadway musicals include Bloomer Girl, St. Louis Woman and House of Flowers. Films include The Singing Kid (1936), Star Spangled Rhythm (1942) and The Petty Girl (1950). With Ira Gershwin he wrote the songs for 1954’s A Star is Born, starring Judy Garland. Arlen won an Academy Award for the song "Over the Rainbow," voted the 20th century's No. 1 song by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

E. Y. HARBURG (Music and Lyrics) One of America’s greatest lyricists for stage and screen, Yip Harburg (1896-1981) was the son of poor Russian-Jewish immigrants and attended CCNY. Also a book writer (usually with Fred Saidy), director, and poet, Harburg wrote lyrics for more than 550 songs, including “It’s Only A Paper Moon” (with Harold Arlen), “April in Paris” (with Vernon Duke) and “Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?” (with Jay Gorney). His landmark musicals were Bloomer Girl (with Arlen) and Finian’s Rainbow. Yip was the final editor and wrote lyrics and continuity for the universally loved film The Wizard of Oz.

HERBERT STOTHART (Background Music) (1885-1949) was nominated for nine Oscars and won for Best Original Score for his work on the 1939 film of The Wizard of Oz. As a young man, he studied music in Europe and at the University of Wisconsin, where he also taught. He worked as a musical director for Arthur Hammerstein and later began writing music for the producer’s nephew, Oscar Hammerstein II, including some for the operetta Rose Marie. In 1929, he was signed to a contract by Louis B. Mayer; he spent the last 20 years of his life at MGM studios working on films, including Rose Marie, A Night at the Opera, Anna Karenina, David Copperfield, Madame Curie, Idiot’s Delight, Northwest Passage, Mrs. Miniver, Mutiny on the Bounty, National Velvet and What Every Woman Knows.
