School Matinees
As part of its commitment to arts education, the Pittsburgh CLO hosts student matinee performances of its popular A Musical Christmas Carol at the Byham Theater each December. In 2010, the CLO presented eight sold-out student matinees, introducing more than 8,000 students to the magic of musical theater.
Teachers receive supplemental educational materials to support this class field trip, including a professionally written study guide and a behind-the-scenes video, to help to integrate this unforgettable theater experience into lesson plans.
