School Matinees
As part of its commitment to arts education, the Pittsburgh CLO hosts student matinee performances of its popular A Musical Christmas Carol at the Byham Theater each December. In 2012, the CLO presented eight student matinees, introducing more than 8500 students to the magic of musical theater.
Teachers receive supplemental educational materials to support this class field trip, including a professionally written study guide and a behind-the-scenes video, to help to integrate this unforgettable theater experience into lesson plans.
