Spearheading Community Fundraising
for Many Years
Established in 1955, the Pittsburgh CLO Guild is a generous group of enthusiastic and determined women who for decades have donated both their time and talents to Pittsburgh CLO. The Guild sponsors a number of activities to raise funds for the CLO, including the Annual CLO Guild Gala.
The work of the Guild’s 115 members impacts Pittsburgh CLO’s mainstage productions, the CLO Academy of Musical Theater, the CLO Internship Program, the Guild Scholarship Fund, CLO Mini Stars and much more. Through the years, the Guild has raised millions of dollars to support musical theater in Pittsburgh, held incomparable social events and generously donated their time and energy to numerous projects benefiting the CLO.
The Annual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Event
The Annual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Ball made its debut in 1955 at the Pittsburgh Field Club. The elegant dinner dance quickly became one of Pittsburgh’s most anticipated social events of the year. Today, the event has evolved into gala event that incorporates one of Pittsburgh CLO's productions. This year's gala will be held on Friday, June 9 at 5:30pm beginning at the Duquesne Club.
CLO Guild / Constance T. Rockwell Scholarship
Recognizing the achievements of local high school seniors pursuing a further education in the performing arts.
These scholarships were named for the late Connie Rockwell, who founded the Pittsburgh CLO Guild in 1955 and played a valuable leadership role in the local theater arts community for more than 50 years. They are awarded annually to deserving local high school seniors, in keeping with Mrs. Rockwell’s desire to recognize, encourage and support talented high school students who want to pursue an education and a career in the performing arts.
