A MUSICAL CHRISTMAS CAROL
WHAT:
Auditions for Pittsburgh CLO's production of
A Musical Christmas Carol at the Byham Theater. The show runs December 4-21 with public performances December 5-21, 2008.
WHO:

Singers/Actors (both men and women) in their 20s, 30s and 40s (Both Equity and Non-Equity performers are eligible.)

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Individuals wishing to audition should:
  • Prepare 2 songs (in musical theater style), 16 bars of one ballad and one up-tempo. 
  • Bring legible sheet music in the correct key. 
  • A one-minute monologue done in a British accent
  • Bring a typed resume and headshot.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Performers must be available from November 25 through December 21, 2008. (No housing, transportation, or per diem available to out-of-area performers)

GALLERY OF HEROES
WHAT:
Pittsburgh CLO is auditions for non-equity singers/actors (all types) for the Gallery of Heroes touring production of the musical The Incredibly Innovative Innovators of Pittsburgh.
WHO:

Non-Equity actors of all types, ages 18 and older.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Individuals wishing to audition should:
  • Age 18 and older, all types needed
  • Non-equity
  • Headshot and resume
  • 2 musical theater songs in contrasting styles (16 bars of one up-temp and 16 bars of one ballad)
  • 1-minute contemporary monologue
  • Must be available during the day Monday-Friday from January to May
ADDITIONAL PRODUCTION INFORMATION:
The 2009 Gallery of Heroes school tour will offer local actors the opportunity to perform in The Incredibly Innovative Innovators of Pittsburgh. The spring tour will run from January 12 through May 8, 2009. Rehearsals begin January 5. Both rehearsals and performances are held during the day.

Explore Pittsburgh's brilliant past, present and future with this fully-staged in-school musical. This action-packed contemporary production as it explores Western Pennsylvania's greatest innovations from the launch of the environmental movement and professional football in America, to the invention of the Polio vaccine and banana splits. The musical highlights the local men and women who have helped change the world- including Rachael Carson, George Westinghouse and Jonas Salk- and teaches students about the infinite possibilities that exist within us all. The Incredibly Innovative Innovators of Pittsburgh book, music and lyrics are written by Jason Coll.
