image descriptionPittsburgh CLO Academy's summer performance camps are designed to give kids the opportunity to experience preparing for and performing on the stage. Working with a Director, Music Director and Choreographer, students will create their own exciting musical theater experience!

After Care:

Payment Options:

  • All payments are processed manually by our office once we receive your registration.
    • A $100 deposit per camp is due at the time of registration.
    • A one-time, non-refundable $15 registration fee will be applied per student.
    • Master Class payments are due in full at the time of registration
  • All summer camp registration must be paid in full two weeks before the start of camp.
    • Payment plans available in 2 or 3 installments - call Catherine Kolos 412-281-2234 x 103
    • Payment plans must be set up two weeks before camp begins.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Notice in writing must be received to drop a camp or transfer to another camp.
  • Camp drops are approved up to two weeks prior to the start of camp.
    • Drops processed in that time will receive a full tuition refund.
    • Drops received less than two weeks before the start of camp forfeit their tuition.

Q: Does my child need to audition for CLO Summer Camps?

A: Every child registered in our Summer Camps will be cast in the production. The campers audition for roles during the first few days of camp. The directors give each child a special part in the show, assuring that every student feels like a star.

Q: Does my child enroll for a camp based on the grade they've completed or the grade they will be going into?

A: Enrollment is determined by the grade your camper will be entering in the Fall.

Q: We have a big family. How many tickets will each child receive for performances?

A: Pittsburgh CLO Academy must adhere to Fire Code and Occupancy limits set forth by the City of Pittsburgh. Ticket allotments are based on the number of performers in each camp to assure safe and comfortable seating in the Charles Gray Auditorium. Usually, each performer receives 2-4 tickets.

Q: Will I need to buy costumes?

A: You do not have to buy a costume unless you want to. Costumes are created out of simple things that you probably already have, can easily obtain or items we will provide.

Q: Where do I bring my child for camp?

A: All camps are held at the CLO Academy at 130 CLO Academy Way. All students must be dropped off and picked up at the main entrance of the Academy and signed in and out with the security guard and camp interns in the lobby.

Q: Will there be a performance and where will it be?

A: Performances are held at 6:00 pm in the Charles Gray Auditorium at the CLO Academy on the last Thursday or Friday of camp.  Campers will be provided with 2-4 tickets for the final performance to invite their family.  Tickets are alotted based on camp size to comply with our fire code regulations.

Q: Is there any financial aid for summer camps?

A: We do not offer financial aid for summer programs.

Q: What should my child bring with him/her on the first day of camp?

A: Campers should bring their completed Welcome Packet, a 3-ring binder with pockets, and a pencil. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing that they can move and dance in. No backless or open-toe shoes, please.

Q: Will there be a recording of the show?

A: Yes! DVD’s are available for purchase for $25 and can be ordered on the merchandise form in your Welcome Packet or at the front desk immediately following the show. DVD’s arrive 1-2 weeks after the performance.

Q: When is the last day to order a camp t-shirt?

All merchandise orders are due on the first day of camp to ensure that camp t-shirts are printed and shipped on time.
