The 62nd Annual Pittsburgh CLO Guild Gala was held on June 9 and celebrated the arrival of Pittsburgh CLO's AN AMERICAN IN PARIS Pittsburgh, as well as Van Kaplan's 20th Anniversary as Executive Producer of Pittsburgh CLO.

Event Chair Helen Wylie welcomed guests to the Duquesne Club where they were greeted by various entertainments, including an Eidth Piaf-style cabaret, iconic French film, and character actors performing scenes likely to be found along the Seine. Guild Chair Patti Matty Blenko presented Van with the CLOE Award for his 20 years of service to CLO before a surprise presentation from Guild President Anne Liparulo to the tune of a $500,000 check to complete Pittsburgh CLO's Next Generation Capital Campaign.

The crowd then went on a short stroll over to the Benedum Center for the evening's performance of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, followed by a stage front champagne toast and a party with the cast in the Benedum. All in all, it was an amazing night celebrating what makes Pittsburgh CLO unique.

Stay tuned for next year's event!

Proceeds from the Gala support Pittsburgh CLO Guild’s commitment to Pittsburgh CLO, including mainstage productions and arts education programs such as the Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater, CLO Summer Internship Program and the CLO Mini Stars.
