Set in New York City in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dilmount from Kansas who comes to New York in search of a new life for herself. Her grand plan is to find a job as a seceretary for a wealthy man and then marry him. However her plan goes completely awry. The owner of her dingy hotel kidnaps young girls to sell to the Far East; her wealthy boss is slow in proposing marriage; and the man she actually falls in love with doesn't have a dime to his name - or so her tells her.
A rollicking, jazzy score and cast of larger-than-life characters make this show perfect for the whole family to enjoy!
Olivia Allison (Ensemble) is currently an eighth grade dance major at Pittsburgh CAPA and is excited to be part of another Pittsburgh CLO Academy performance and work with such amazing talent. She would to thank teachers, family and friends for always supporting her. She dedicates this performance to her Grandpap who is watching from heaven.
Blake Altman (The Letch/Dexter) is a junior at Southmoreland High School. He performed as Jack Barnes/ensemble in Pittsburgh CLO Academy's Catch Me if You Can, was in the children's ensemble of Pittsburgh CLO's Gypsy and was LA/Farmboy in Uniontown State Theatre's Gypsy this summer. Other credits include Stage Right! Greensburg's Shrek, Peter Pan, Seussical and Christmas Carol. His most memorable student role was Mama in Hairspray. Blake thanks his family for their support and for the opportunity to study at the CLO Academy!
Torrance Bajuszik (Ensemble) is in her first show with Pittsburgh CLO Academy and is thrilled to be a part of it. Torrance attends Pre-Professional classes/voice at the CLO Academy and has been involved in musical theater since third grade. She was the lead role in Dear Edwina this past April and recently performed in Comtra Theatre's summer production of West Side Story in which she played the role of Anybody's. She was also a Kean Quest finalist this year. Other shows include Scenes from our Kitchen, Checklist, Beauty and the Beast and Twas.
Chelsea Calfo (Millie Dillmount) is very excited to be a part of her fifth fall production at Pittsburgh CLO Academy. Chelsea has been a student at the CLO Academy for the past 10 years, and a Mini Star since the sixth grade. She is currently a junior at Pittsburgh CAPA, studying Musical Theater. Chelsea would like to thank Amy Stabnau, the Academy staff, Ms. Patty, Justin, Bobby, Kristiann and Connor for making this experience possible. A special thank you to the cast for their hard work and friendship.
Hank Cherrix (Kenneth) is a dedicated member of Pittsburgh CLO Academy who has performed in the CLO Academy productions of Mary Poppins, Shrek, Little Shop of Horrors and the All-Academy Musicals. Hank feels at home when on stage and enjoys working with all of his friends. Hank’s love of musical theater is such a huge part of his life. He has a movie debuting in 2017 about Roberto Clemente and is happy for any role and to be a member of this cast.
Julia Ciarimboli (Ensemble) is very excited to performing in her first MT production at Pittsburgh CLO Academy! She would like to wish the best of luck to the cast and crew and thank everyone for the great experience!
Skylar Davidson (Lucille) is thrilled to be performing in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Previous roles in Pittsburgh CLO Academy productions include Peter Pan in Peter Pan Jr., John in Anything Goes, Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown and Carol Strong in Catch Me if You Can. She is profoundly grateful for her wonderful directors, crew and cast. She has had a fantastic time performing with all of her friends. Skylar thanks her family for their unconditional love and support.
Zoe Dunay (Alice) is thrilled to be in Thoroughly Modern Millie! Zoe is a fourth-year Pittsburgh CLO Mini Star and has been in many CLO Academy productions. Last year, she was in The Little Mermaid, Jr.and Catch Me If You Can at the CLO Academy. Zoe is a sophomore vocal major at Pittsburgh CAPA and wishes to thank her family, instructors and friends for their constant love and support. Enjoy the show!
Emma Hackworth (Miss Dorothy Brown) is a sophomore at North Allegheny Intermediate High School and is thrilled to be back for her fifth Pittsburgh CLO Academy production. Her favorite performances include Peter Pan (Wendy), Catch Me If You Can (Featured Dancer) and The Little Mermaid, Jr. (Ariel). She sends many thanks and much love to her family, friends, and this amazing cast and crew!
Theresa Hall (Daphne) is absolutely delighted to be participating in this year's Pittsburgh CLO Academy production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. She is no stranger to the stage as she has been in multiple productions including 9 to 5 the Musical (Violet Newstead), Annie (Pepper), Mary Poppins (Chimney Sweep) and many more! Theresa is a junior at Elizabeth Forward High School and is an avid member of the drama department and a member of the Bella's honors choir. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Samantha Hawk (Mrs. Meers) is beyond thrilled to be playing the part of Mrs. Meers. She has also participated in Little Shop, Catch Me If You Can, Urinetown (Little Sally) and Honk, Jr. (Ida) with Pittsburgh CLO Academy. Other favorites include Addams Family (Wednesday) at South Park High School, Beauty and the Beast (Belle), All Shook Up (Lorraine) and Seussical (Gertrude) at Mon River Arts and Sleeping Beauty (Flora) at PMT. Nic Hermick (Bun Foo) is in his first fall production at Pittsburgh CLO Academy. Outside of classes at the CLO Academy, Nic studies at Pittsburgh Musical Theater and LPPACS. This past summer, Nic studied at Point Park University with their six-week international summer dance program and has been involved in modeling and commercials. Recent shows include Rent (Angel), The Little Mermaid (Flotsam), West Side Story (Baby John) and A Lyrical Christmas Carol (Young Scrooge.)
Victoria Huston (Ruth) is ecstatic to be participating in her sixth Pittsburgh CLO Academy production. Favorite Pittsburgh CLO credits include: Oklahoma!, Joseph And The..., Oliver, The Sound of Music, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserables and Annie. So much love to the cast, crew and her family. Lance Joos (Rodney) is an 11th grade Musical Theater major at Pittsburgh CAPA and has been seen in West Side Story (Action), Aida (Ensemble), Beauty & The Beast Jr. (Gaston), Footloose (Ensemble), In the Heights (Ensemble), Seussical (Wickersham), High School Musical Jr. (Ripper) and Oliver as (Charlie). At CCAC: Hairspray (Brad) and Guy & Dolls (Benny Southstreet). At CLO Academy: Anything Goes (Lead Sailor), Peter Pan (Captain Hook), Seussical Jr. (Horton), Alice in Wonderland Jr. (Mad Hatter). Allison Joyce (Rita), a sophomore at Avonworth High School, is ecstatic to be in her fourth MT Production! She was recently in Into the Woods (Little Red), The Crucible (Mercy Lewis), and Catch Me If You Can (Nellie). Allison has also been a CLO Mini Star for five years and starred in the CLO Cabaret production of Ruthless! Break a leg to all the cast and crew!
Rylan Kadlecik (Muzzy Van Hossmere), a sophomore at Montour High School, has appeared in school productions The Little Mermaid (Ariel) and High School Musical (Sharpay). Rylan is enjoying her third year at Pittsburgh CLO Academy and is a member of the CLO Mini Stars. At the CLO Academy, Rylan has performed in Footloose (Ariel) and Hairspray (Amber). Rylan loves musical theater, dance, voice, and piano, is a supporter of animal rescue organizations and is active in her church choir. Rylan would like thank her family and friends for their love and support to follow her dreams.
Elizabeth Katchen (Ensemble), a sophomore at Pittsburgh CAPA (Musical Theater Program), is very excited to be in her second Pittsburgh CLO Academy production. Other past performances include Annie (Lily), Catch Me If You Can (Ensemble), Aida (Ensemble), Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl), Fame (Iris) and Seussical (Ensemble). Riley Konesky (Ensemble) is a 15-year-old freshman at Baldwin High School and is thrilled to be part of her first fall production with Pittsburgh CLO Academy! Some recent credits include Gypsy (Dainty Louise) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Millie Dillmount). She would like to thank her family, friends and teachers for their support!
Michael Kovacich (Ching Ho) made his first stage appearance at age 6. Since then he's appeared in numerous Pittsburgh CLO Academy productions including, Catch Me if You Can (Carl Hanratty), Anything Goes (Moonface Martin), The Wedding Singer (George) and the CLO production of Fiddler on the Roof (Yeshiva Boy). Michael is sad that this is his last Academy production but has met many wonderful people with whom he hopes to work with again. Thanks Mom!

Her credits include Mary Poppins (Ensemble), This Is A Test (Pat), Annie (Star To Be) and Little Shop of Horrors (Ensemble). Caroline Lucas (New Modern) is thrilled to be performing in Thoroughly Modern Millie with Pittsburgh CLO Academy. She has previously performed in Gypsy and Annie at the Benedum Center. Caroline has performed in many CLO Academy productions including last year’s Catch Me if You Can. She would like to thank all her family, friends and teachers at the CLO Academy.
Julia Maletta (Ethel Peas) is excited to be working with Justin Fortunato at Pittsburgh CLO Academy. She has performed in more than 20 theater productions. Her favorite shows so far are Annie Jr. (Miss Hannigan), Alice in Wonderland Jr. (Alice), Legally Blonde Jr. (Vivian Kensington), Jesus Christ Superstar (Ensemble) and Peter Pan (Lost Boy). Julia also trains at Broadway Artists Alliance in NYC, and with her vocal coach, Billy Mason, and dance coach, Shannon Riley.
Ciara McCarthy (Ensemble) is glad to be performing with Pittsburgh CLO Academy in the ensemble for this performance. She has appeared in Catch Me If You Can (Teri) and Footloose (Ensemble) at CLO Academy. Her past roles include Paula Abagnale in Catch Me if You Can, Peppermint Patty in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown and Annie in Annie Jr. at Hopewell High school. She would like to thank everyone for their support.
Felicia Niebel (Mama) is thrilled to be a part of a Pittsburgh CLO Academy production again this year. She has been in several CLO main stage productions and has been active in community theater. She has studied at the CLO Academy for seven years and is privileged to have been a CLO Mini Star for the past three years. Thanks to her teachers, family and friends for always supporting her!
Jonathan Parker (Dishwasher) is thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful cast and show. He appeared in High School Musical Jr. (Ryan) and Little Mermaid Jr. (Grimsby & Prince Eric), He is currently a ninth grader at Woodland Hills High School. He was Turkey Boy in Pittsburgh CLO’s A Musical Christmas Carol, he also appeared in the original cast of The Devil's Arithmetic (Aaron/Reuven/Wolfe). He would like to thank his family, friends, teachers and trainers for all of their love and continued support.
Rhiannon Passmore (Ensemble) is a 10th grade musical theater major at Pittsburgh CAPA. She has been studying at Pittsburgh CLO Academy since she was 8 years old. She has had a great time being a part of productions at both CLO Academy and CAPA. Rhiannon is super excited to be a part of Thoroughly Modern Millie!
Jake Pedersen (Jimmy Smith), a first-year student at the Pittsburgh CLO Academy, is beyond thrilled and honored to be playing the role of Jimmy in the fall production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. He was last seen performing in the CLO Academy's summer camp of Little Shop… as Seymour Krelborn. Jake has been performing in the Pine-Richland High School Spring musicals since the sixth grade and plans to pursue musical theater in college. He has had a wonderful time at CLO thus far and is looking forward to continuing classes this year. Jake would like to thank the CLO Academy, directing team, his parents and everyone who made this show possible. Enjoy the show!
Evan Pietrzak (Policeman) is very excited to be a part of this amazing show! He has been with Pittsburgh CLO Academy for almost a year and has been in two summer camp productions: You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown as Charlie Brown and Little Shop of Horrors as an ensemble member. He wants to thank the directors and his fellow cast members for a great musical experience.
Jordan Stosic (George Gershwin) is excited to be a part of his first fall MT Production at Pittsburgh CLO Academy. He previously participated in the The Little Shop of Horrors Summer Camp. Halle Surgil (Gloria) is thrilled to perform in Pittsburgh CLO Academy's production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. She is currently a Pittsburgh CLO Mini Star and performed at the Benedum Center in the Pittsburgh CLO productions of Annie, Gypsy and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Halle has appeared in many shows with the CLO Academy including last year’s Catch Me If You Can and Anything Goes. She would like to thank her family, friends and teachers for their endless support.
Christina Trocchio (Cora) is thrilled to be doing Thoroughly Modern Millie with such an awesome cast and crew! Past credits include Wild About Wilder (at the Edinburgh Fringe in Scotland), Thoroughly Modern Millie, Catch Me if You Can, The Addams Family and Anything Goes. She was nominated for a Gene Kelly Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2015. Special thanks to the production team for making this such a great show, and to her family for their support.

Lucia Williams (Miss Flannery) is a ninth grader at Oakland Catholic High School. She has been studying at Pittsburgh CLO Academy for five years and was most recently seen as Teen Fiona this summer in Pittsburgh CLO's Shrek the Musical. She is grateful to be onstage again in Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Mario Williams (Ensemble) is a sixth grade student at St. Louise de Marillac. He has been studying at Pittsburgh CLO Academy for four years. He was most recently seen as Tiny Tim in Pittsburgh CLO's A Musical Christmas Carol. He is excited for another year at the Academy and for his first Academy fall production!
Joel Wilshire (Mr. Trevor Graydon) is thrilled to perform in his fourth and final Pittsburgh CLO Academy MT Production. Favorite roles: Captain Hook in Peter Pan, Agent Branton/Roger Strong in Catch Me..., Carnival Boy in Carousel, Linus in ...Charlie Brown. Julia Zoratto (The Pearl Lady) is happy begin her 10th year with the CLO Academy and her fourth MT production! Some of her past theater credits include: Curtains (Georgia), The Devils Arithmetic (starring as Hannah), Catch Me If You Can (Mindy/Nurse/Agent) and Into the Woods (Florinda and Lucinda). She recently performed with the Edinburgh Fringe Fesitival and is a CLO Mini Star. Julia would like to thank the cast and crew, her friends, family and teachers for helping her reach this point in her life.
Justin Fortunato (Director) has worked extensively as an actor and director for companies in and around Pittsburgh, including The Pittsburgh Public Theater, Pittsburgh CLO, PICT Classic Theatre, The Playhouse REP, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Prime Stage Theatre and St. Vincent Summer Theatre. This past January he directed a production of Into the Woods in Miami, Florida starring Tituss Burgess in the role of the witch. He is co-founder of Carrnivale Theatrics and, in his capacity as producer/director, has staged critically acclaimed productions of Sweeney Todd, Ragtime, Into the Woods and the Pittsburgh premieres of Next to Normal and In the Heights. His experience as an educator of young performers includes work at the CLO Academy, PMT’s Rauh Conservatory and West Allegheny High School. He is currently the Artistic Producing Director of Lincoln Park Center for the Performing Arts. He obtained his BFA in Musical Theatre from Point Park Conservatory and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity.
Kristiann Menotiades (Choreographer) is currently the Director of Fox Chapel High Schools Fall Drama, Choreographer of Riverview High Schools Spring Musical and an instructor at The Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater. She just finished working as the Associate Director/Choreographer for the world premiere of 21: The Roberto Clemente Musical at the Pittsburgh Playhouse with Mr. Richard Sabellico. Most recent credits: SCARRIE: the musical as Coach and Mama at Bricolage, Jaques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris (PICT) and Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead (T.A.C.T.). Kristiann has performed in numerous CLO Cabaret shows over the past several years and in various theaters in Pittsburgh and NYC.
Robert Neumeyer (Music Director) balances duties as a music director, accompanist and liturgical musician throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. Robert has appeared with numerous companies including the Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Musical Theater, City Theater and Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts. CLO credits include the Academy’s productions of Rent, Hairspray, Into the Woods, Footloose, The Wedding Singer, Anything Goes, Urinetown, Mary Poppins and Catch Me If You Can, the main stage productions of Legally Blonde and The Wedding Singer as well as the touring production of The Invention of Edison. Robert has served on the staff of the Gene Kelly Awards as a copyist, arranger and Assistant Music Director for the past four years. Robert is a graduate of the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University and is a proud member of the American Federation of Musicians, the National Association of Pastoral Musicians and the American Guild of Organists.
