Assistant Production Manager

Assistant Production Manager


Pittsburgh CLO is seeking seasonal staff members to assist with the 2018 Festival of New Musicals

The Assistant Production Manager will:

  • Coordinate all load-ins/outs and sound checks at Festival events, including Festival Late Nights
  • Coordinate all sound/lighting/prop needs with Stage Managers
  • Work with Production Manager to create a space and supply database for the Festival
  • Manage all equipment and supply rentals/purchases
  • Coordinate space rentals
  • Work with Festival Coordinator to maintain master rehearsal calendar & performance schedule
  • Serve as point of contact re: technical needs for all programming partners
  • Coordinate security procedures at all venues
  • Other duties to support CLO Staff as assigned

Ideal Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Experience as a production manager or technical director
  • Expert knowledge of technical systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working with union labor a plus; experience working closely with designers a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record required; vehicle encouraged, but not required.

Approximate Start Date: February 5, 2018

Company Management Associate

Company Management Associate


Pittsburgh CLO is seeking seasonal staff members to assist with the 2018 Festival of New Musicals

The Company Management Associate will:

  • Gather all contact, payment, and travel info from artists and staff
  • Coordinate w/Associate Producing Director to book all travel and housing
  • Create travel itinerary and welcome packet for each artist; coordinate artist/staff gifts
  • Serve as point of contact for artist and staff questions/issues
  • Create payment templates and coordinate all hiring/payment paperwork with Finance department
  • Support Artistic staff at Festival auditions and orientation (January or February 2018)
  • Support Special Events staff at VIP and donor events, social gatherings, and Late Night programming
  • Other duties to support CLO Staff as assigned

Ideal Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of AEA and SDC Guidelines and contracts a plus
  • Basic understanding of hiring and payment paperwork
  • Excellent communication skills, plus a love of logistics, details, and people
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record required; vehicle encouraged, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Pittsburgh a plus

Approximate End Date: April 11, 2018 (with possible Summer Season extension through August 14, 2018)

Production Assistant

Production Assistant


Pittsburgh CLO is seeking seasonal staff members to assist with the 2018 Festival of New Musicals

Production Assistants will:

  • Attend all rehearsals and presentations of one assigned show
  • Assist Stage Manager with all rehearsal needs: schedules, supply prep, set-up, rehearsal reports, prop lists, etc.
  • Track daily script changes in rehearsal; maintain master rehearsal and presentation scripts
  • Run lighting/sound boards as necessary
  • Provide support to creative teams and Production staff, as necessary
  • Other duties to support CLO Staff as assigned

Ideal Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Stage Management experience
  • Excellent rehearsal room etiquette
  • Excellent organizational skills, punctuality, and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Music Assistant

Music Assistant


Pittsburgh CLO is seeking seasonal staff members to assist with the 2018 Festival of New Musicals

Music Assistants will:

  • Attend all rehearsals and presentations of one assigned show
  • Assist Composer with music notation and edits
  • Assist Music Director as necessary, including teaching music and substituting as an accompanist
  • Other duties to support CLO Staff as assigned

Ideal Abilities/Qualifications:

  • Excellent sight-reading ability
  • Experience using music notation software (Finale at minimum)
  • Facility with piano accompanying
  • Music Direction experience a plus
  • Excellent rehearsal room etiquette
  • Excellent organizational skills, punctuality, and attention to detail
